See Yourself as a Dev Ops Engineer - RDNA

As a DevOps engineer is responsible for working within a larger team to monitor and maintain RDNA cloud-based (AWS & Azure) production infrastructure from continuous deployments to managing our monthly processes. The DevOps engineer will use independent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production environment infrastructure related issues and work with CSA (Certified Solution Architect) to develop cloud modernization efforts. The DevOps engineer will manage RDNA's production processes and ensure appropriate SLAs are met. The Dev Ops engineer will stay current with best practices, industry standards, and make recommendations as needed. The role will be required to develop, design and implement solutions autonomously with limited supervision. (Out of Footprint All Virtual or Bethesda Hybrid).

See Your Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working closely and collaboratively with engineering, modeling, data and project/QC team to ensure all the production processes are automated, monitored and SLA are met for clients. All these processes are expected to be documented for Audit purposes.

  • Maintain and improve our CI and deployment pipeline. Work with engineering, Modeling and data teams to proactively identify performance issues and solve them.

  • Work closely with CSA and cloud engineer to develop and manage appropriate security protections. Implement and maintain security using Least Privilege model and assist others with understanding and implementing least privilege.

  • Implement metrics and monitoring in order to stay ahead of identifying production issues.

  • Other duties as requested.

Your Knowledge:

  • 1 or more experience in a Cloud Operations role or related position.

  • 2 years of infrastructure automation (CloudFormation, Terraform)

  • 1 year of Continuous integration (TeamCity, Jenkins)

  • Understanding of Elasticity and Scalability Concepts

  • AWS Training or Certification is a plus.

  • Experience implementing distributed systems.

  • Familiarity with RDBMS (MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL Database Technologies

  • Knowledge of RESTful Web Services, XML and JSON

Your Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to implement interactions with AWS (AWS SDK, AWS API, Command Line Interface, AWS CloudFormation, and other AWS Services such as SQS, S3 etc).

  • Skilled in implementing automation using bash, scripting, python, PowerShell to perform day-to-day support functions and release management activities.

  • Experience with information and application security including public key encryption, SSH, access credentials and X.509 Certificates

  • Experience with some programming languages including SQL, C#, VB etc.

  • Experience in managing Windows and Linux operating systems.

  • Experience in using source code management system such as TeamCity and GIT.

  • Proven track record of strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent Interpersonal, verbal and writing skills.

  • Able to accept & adapt to changing priorities.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines.

  • Work closely with both the business and development teams globally in resolving issues.

Other Position Parameters:

  • 1-3 years of IT and DevOps experience

  • Supports customer satisfaction process by taking accountability and addressing their concerns/ issues.

  • Establish and maintain strong relations with customers to ensure understanding of customer's needs

Your Education and Credentials

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

  • Other Certifications: Current AWS Solutions Architect and/or AWS SysOps Administrator (required)

  • Azure and/or OpenStack Administrator Certification (not required, but a plus)
