Position Title: Tutor- EMT (Temporary, Part-Time, up to 19.5 hours per week)
Department: East Campus - EMT Department
Rate of Pay: $15.00/hour
Closed Date: January 31, 2025; 5:00PM Arizona Time
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for tutoring in one of the many classes taught through the East Campus EMT department. The successful candidate will work with small groups of students to teach EMT skills and prepare the students for national testing.
Each position is offered on a per class basis and employment is dependent upon available classes and the number of enrollments.
The work schedule for this position may include working evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist students by providing instructional tutoring and assistance with basic concepts and skills
- Prepare students for NREMT psychomotor exams
- Clean, sanitize, maintain and restock equipment; report to Laboratory Supervisor
- Provide student encouragement and personal support in the areas of student self-confidence and study habits
- Establish effective and cooperative relationships with diverse student and employee populations
- Current EMT certification
- Current CPR certification at the BLS Healthcare provider level
- Experience with Pima Community College EMT100 coursework
- Tutoring experience
