About this role Summary This is a Direct

Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Responsibilities Help Troubleshoot distribution systems and equipment Perform specialized work associated with

Help
Troubleshoot distribution systems and equipment using devices such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, phase meters, meggers, underground cable locators and thermal imaging cameras
Perform specialized work associated with installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating highly complex electronic equipment
Perform test and repair overhead and underground primary electrical distribution lines, secondary lines, sub-stations, transformers, breakers, regulators, insulators, lightning arrestors, switches, fuses, and similar equipment
Test new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, controls and equipment

Required Skills & Experience Help Conditions of employment Appointment may be subject to

Incumbent is subject to pre-employment physical and must satisfactorily complete the appropriate annual Depot Medical Examination
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
Incumbent must have a valid State Class-A Commercial Drivers License is required

This position is covered by the civilian drug abuse testing program governed by AR 600-85, The Army Substance Abuse Program.
Incumbent must obtain and maintain a government license to operate any government owned material handling equipment
Incumbent may be required to wear and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
