Overview

This leadership position reports to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing and oversees a team of three Regional Marketing and E-Commerce Managers responsible for driving revenue and increasing market share for Highgate's owned and managed assets in Hawaii. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive revenue, enhance brand awareness, and increase market share across multiple properties within our regional portfolio. Additionally, you will oversee the hotel's e-commerce initiatives, including managing online distribution channels, optimizing website performance, and maximizing online revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • This position works with sales, revenue management, and operational teams, and Highgate Corporate, to drive strategic and innovative tactics for generating revenue and maintaining brand standards.
  • Develops strategic KPIs and sets performance goals/targets in partnership with the leadership teams on property.
  • Builds strategic marketing plans and establishes annual Marketing & eCommerce budgets along with SVP of Sales & Marketing, GMs, DOSs, and DORMs.
  • Deploys strategies (print, digital, and/or social media) through the review of competitive data, demand analysis and market mix management.
  • Collaborates with the DOSs to provide marketing support to all sales-impacted market segments, including but not limited to BT, GDS, B2B groups, and Luxury Consortia.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, agencies, and partners to support marketing initiatives and maximize ROI.
  • Liaisons with Food and Beverage team to support menu design and B2B marketing efforts for local and group catering.
  • Ensures hotels have adequate online presence and visibility to drive online channel performance. This includes overseeing the performance of hotel digital direct channels, retail management and social media, and facilitating connections between hotels and enterprise or area activities.
  • Assists hotels in improving work efficiency, developing & controlling content quality from the perspective of hotel needs to drive more traffic to Highgate digital direct channels and further enhance the conversion rates.
  • Seeks out, audits proposal and recommends use of technologies and platform for test-and-learn applications to drive competitive advantage, revenue, and plan ROI.
  • This role will be responsible for driving increased market share and revenue through focused hotel-level activity.
  • The role will provide hotels with comprehensive guidelines and best practices across various subjects and topics, with a focus on activities that generate revenue.
  • Lead and develop content creation process for hotels, to enhance the overall experience of Highgate Hawaii's branded digital outlets.
  • General tactical support of SEO initiatives such as keyword research and recommendations, developing meta titles and descriptions, and optimizing for local search.
  • Analyze website performance metrics, booking data, and customer feedback to optimize the online booking experience and drive direct bookings.
  • Supports all new opening hotels and assets.
  • Provides insight to performance by channel, geography and hotel level.
  • Develops, leads, and plans strategies to optimize brand presence and ensures Highgate hotels are best represented on third party sites such as OTA's.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience as a marketing leader in an above property position Experience dealing with and communicating with ownership groups and asset management.

Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Experience working collaboratively with revenue management. Well rounded knowledge of all market segments and channel sources, as well as ability to develop a strategic plan for each.

Proficient in Google Analytics 4. With the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.

Ability to direct, lead, train, motivate & drive a team of DOSM's. Must be proficient in SEMRush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google tag Manager, Canva, MS Office including Word, Excel, and Power Point

Must be able to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines

Extensive experience in project management experience

Marketing & eCommerce expertise Extensive experience in strategically developing and executing marketing strategy plans Extensive digital marketing experience

Experience working in the Hospitality and/or travel industry

Flexibility to travel within the region and work evenings and weekends as needed.

Salary: $130K-$150k
