Legal Assistant - Insurance Defense

Job Description

As a legal assistant on our team, you’ll handle complex tasks critical to the success of our law offices. An ideal candidate will have prior litigation experience and an understanding of legal terminology, which will be used to provide administrative support to our attorneys through preparation of legal documents and correspondences, such as motions and pleadings. Using an electronic case management system, you’ll manage attorney calendars, coordinate examinations for defense experts, and communicate with clients. Among other things, you’ll spend time maintaining files, answering phone calls, propounding discovery – including serving client discovery, along with other administrative duties. This is a hybrid position. Candidates must live in Texas and will be based out of our Houston office. In office requirements include training, office events, or as required by business need.
