SUMMARY
The Director, Perioperative Services is a professional nurse who develops unit goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures; organizes the unit(s) in accordance with administrative guidelines in order to provide specified nursing services to meet the legal, organizational, and medical staff guidelines. Functions in an advisory capacity in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care; directs the implementation and ensures compliance with Standards of Nursing Practice that promote optimum health care delivery within budgetary guidelines. Is responsible for unit(s) on a 24 hour basis.
