A well-established ready-mix concrete operation in Madison MS is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Perform diagnostics repairs and scheduled maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment. Maintain service records using digital tools and document repairs efficiently. Troubleshoot and repair engines hydraulic systems electrical components and brake systems. Conduct safety inspections and ensure all repairs meet DOT and company standards. Operate within safety protocols and contribute to a clean organized shop environment. Rotate weekly between day and night shifts including after-hours availability as scheduled. Complete special projects or tasks as assigned by management. Requirements Required 3+ years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy diesel trucks or construction equipment. Proficiency with diagnostic tools mechanical troubleshooting and diesel engine repair. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Ability to work rotating night shifts and overtime as needed. Strong safety awareness and decision-making skills. Preferred Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Experience using fleet maintenance software or digital work order systems. Familiarity with cost-effective service strategies in high-usage fleet environments. Knowledge of modern repair techniques for hydraulics emissions systems and onboard diagnostics. #PJ1
