Reporting to the Director of Research Administration Shared Services (Research Administration Partner Pod (RAPP)) at OHSU, the position of Post-Award Unit Grants & Contracts Administrator will be responsible for working with assigned departments to perform post-award research activities while delivering excellent customer service. The position will perform support functions for OHSU Principal Investigators (PIs), with a focus on ensuring that PIs have accurate and timely information to make decisions.
Research is a vital component of OHSU’s mission and support of research administration is a key component of success for the OHSU Research & Innovation Shared Services Group. The Post-Award Unit Grants & Contracts Administrator positions are research administration staff positions that will collaborate closely with Pre-Award Unit Grants & Contracts Administrators as part of a comprehensive team. This is a full time position that will strive to meet the research needs of Principal Investigators in sponsored research.
Employees in this classification lead complex projects and have frequent contact with internal OPAM, TTBD, CTO, Integrity and department leadership with significant contribution to the department’s sponsored program administration.
This position is expected to offer high quality, consistent support across several different research centers, institutes, schools, or programs. Applicants should have a depth and breadth of post award knowledge from day one to hit the ground running. The Unit GCAs will need to be self-directed, resourceful, autonomous and creative problem solvers in order to support the Directors, PIs and/or faculty submitting or managing the award. There will be short turnarounds, sometimes deadline-driven time sensitive work, as well as grant portfolios with a wide range of complexity (e.g. standard NIH R01s, non-standard DOD contracts, center grants, supplements, foundation awards) of each group. We ask that all applicants be flexible, independent and profound communicators who are motivated to propel this shared services team forward.
