Summary:

The Contract Administration Representative position is responsible for the processing of paperwork and case ownership to ensure accurately and timely completion of customer transactions. This positions primary focus is 1035 Transfers, but representatives may also be required to assist with other types of transactions for Variable, Fixed, and Fixed Indexed annuities. This role is a part of the operations team supporting incoming fund transactions.

Main Accountabilities:
  • Process and review 1035 exchange paperwork to facilitate the acquisition of funds accurately and in a timely manner. This includes, but is not limited to: reviewing paperwork to ensure it is in good order, communicating with agents regarding paperwork that is not in good order, data entry, sending transfer requests to other carriers, notating associated tickets, and performing outbound calls as needed to carriers and agents.
  • Learning, retaining, and maintaining knowledge of internal processes, procedures, and applicable financial industry information, while adhering to strict financial industry rules and regulations.
  • Communicate with other teams within operations to facilitate timely transaction processing.
  • Assist with processing other types of transactions as needed.
  • Assist in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of operations, customer service, or processing experience. A combination is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Proven ability to utilize multiple software platforms.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Zendesk experience is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of the annuity market, with specific focus on the fixed, fixed indexed and variable annuities preferred.
