The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus, one year of specialized training in business management, business education, construction invoices, or a related field; plus, three years of experience in specialized or a related field applicable to work performed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists with the development of Facilities Management specific construction contract management directives, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and consistent application.
Responsible for managing construction documentation, and contract processing for new construction as well as Architect/Engineer Consultant Agreements. Ensuring contract balances are current and processing any necessary amendments.
Researches and analyzes construction and maintenance data pertinent to renovation and/or new construction of building projects.
Interviews and works closely with contractors and vendors to obtain and develop desired products. Prepares reports about tracking contract-related invoices.
Provides information, assistance, and clarifications to interested parties concerning construction and renovation projects, and the facilities department’s programs, policies, and procedures.
Assists supervisor by maintaining leave records, and logging and electronically filing incoming architectural and engineering documents.
May supervise a work-study or graduate assistant and evaluate the work performance of incumbents.
Perform other duties assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Knowledge of the principles and practices of mathematics and statistics;
Knowledge of the construction industry and Facilities Management area;
Knowledge of computers and software applications;
Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports;
Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures;
Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports;
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others;
Ability to work evenings and weekends as requested.
