The Teacher, Pre-K must always comply with state and federal education laws and regulations

The Teacher, Pre-K, must build and maintain open lines of communication with families to encourage parents/guardians to become education advocates for their children
Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs 3
Work collaboratively with special education teachers and interventionists to ensure children meet IEP targets 4

Required Skills & Experience Current State of Connecticut Teacher Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Aspire to master his/her content

Aspire to master his/her content area or subject matter and be willing and able to receive constructive criticism to achieve that goal
are subject to performance goals and/or targets established as part of the Board’s and school’s organizational planning
Current State of Connecticut Teacher Certification 001, 002, 003, 008, 112, or 113
Understand that all work

Fervently believe in NBFA’s mission and be willing to work diligently to positively impact the life outcomes of our students
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education or appropriate subject, Master’s degree preferred
Candidates fluent in oral and written Spanish, French Creole or Portuguese encouraged to apply
Be willing and able to offer constructive feedback to assist colleagues
