Department: Memory Care
Schedule: Friday-Tuesday | 11am-7pm
Salary: $66,560 annually, commensurate with skills and experience.

Job Summary:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Manages or assists in managing care staff in the Memory Care Service function. Enters and updates documentation of residents care, maintains Personal Care Department staff schedules, and assists in the processing of payroll in a residential care facility for the elderly.

Essential Duties and responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.:

* Ensures that resident needs are being met and all services are being rendered appropriately.

* Addresses resident/family requests and concerns in a professional and timely manner.

* Communicates with families and physicians any resident concerns and changes in condition.

* Ensures that Family Care Conferences are being completed on a consistent basis.

* Updates and maintains residents’ Service Plans including all Focus/Interventions.

* Leads and/or participates in Resident Care Conferences.

* Manages recruitment, training and evaluation of staff in Memory Care under the guidance of the Director of Memory Care or Director of Resident Services

* Ensures completion and documentation of all mandatory staff training.

* Continuously evaluates staff’s skill-set, competency and safe work practices.

* Manages staff schedules

* Performs payroll edits. Adjust payroll records as appropriate. Performs end of period payroll review.

* Manages inventory of supplies

* Updates all Monthly Fees to ensure that services are being charged as appropriate

* Prepares and prints reports as directed by the Director of Memory Care or Director of Resident Services

* Continuously maintains CSL Policies and Procedures and State regulations.

* Understands all emergency protocol and responds to emergencies as appropriate.

* Continuously evaluates safety of Memory Care environment.

* Reports all incidents, accidents and/or injuries immediately to the Director of Memory Care or Director of Resident Services as well as completes all appropriate documentation.

* Understands and maintains Quality Assurance standards in the Memory Care Program.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

* May perform daily payroll edits. Adjust payroll records as appropriate. Perform end of period review.

* Observe work environment for potential injury hazards and take appropriate preventative safety precautions. Actively participate in prevention, reporting, and management of Workers’ Comp. Claims.

* Able to read and write reports, business correspondence, memos and staff performance evaluations.

* May manage staff schedules.

Qualifications:

* Communication Skills
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

* Ability to effectively communicate with residents, and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, families, physicians, customers, and the general public

* Interact well with our Carlton Family – residents, family members, all staff members, future residents.

* Reasoning Ability
* Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out written or oral instructions.

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

* Education and Experience
* Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or

* Two years related experience and/or training; or

* Equivalent combination of education and experience

* According to Title 22 requirements, employee must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

* Mathematical Skills
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

* Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

* Certificates, License, Registration

* RCFE Certification is desirable and may be obtained after employment begins.

* Current First Aid Certification (obtained through community)

* DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance must be completed prior to working in community (obtained through community)

* Health screening and negative TB test, must be less than six (6) months old. (obtained through community)
