Position Description

The Bartender is responsible for preparing, creating, and selling, variety of beverages including craft cocktails, wine and food. This position oversees daily bar maintenance as well as inventory management. Must be able to communicate effectively with the guests as well as the food and beverage team to ensure a seamless experience.

Rate of Pay: $36.05/hr

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and restaurant standards.
  • Building rapport with the guest with above and beyond service
  • Check completed orders with the guest’s original order
  • Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area
  • Control cleanliness in the area
  • Assist in the overall operation of the outlet whenever needed
  • Inform the manager of all customer complaints and makes appropriate efforts to correct the problem
  • Always offer professional and engaging service
  • Maintain a good working relationship with other employees
  • Leadership – Maintain a positive, upbeat role, promote and exemplify Company values and represents departmental objectives and interests to internal and external customers
  • Customer Service – Follow up on complaints, questions, and concerns; respond to internal/external customer needs in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Teamwork - Develop and promote teamwork and cooperation among co-workers
  • Safety – Comply with established safe work practices and attend to all safety-related training provided or made available by the Company.
  • Due to the intimate nature of the resort with limited number of guests on property, must assist teams laterally across all departments to lead a seamless guest flow throughout the different resort spaces.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years serving experience in upscale establishment, wine wine/beer/spirit knowledge
  • Hotel/resort experience preferred
  • Must be able to be on feet for entire shift and communicate with guests appropriately and effectively
