Position Summary
The Cardio Neuro Vascular Technician is responsible for performing the
appropriate skills and techniques necessary during department procedure. The
technician has the responsibility of identifying and maintaining patient safety.
Position rotates between scrub andmonitor. On call requirement with a 30-minute
response time.
Department Procedures include but are not limited to
Essential Duties
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Maintains equipment and supplies.
Interacts with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians
Performs clerical duties
Maintain educational and technical training
Assists the physician in cath lab, interventional radiology and neuro
interventional procedures and special procedures area..
Assists in transportation of patient to and from the procedure room.
Assists in preparation of patient and chart procedures or other procedures
performed in Cath lab/Interventional Radiology/Neuro Interventional Radiology.

sterilization.
Accountable for regulatory and compliance standards.
Attends in-service and symposiums to keep updates on procedure
advancements.
Assists in preparation of educational conferences.
Demonstrates knowledge of radiation protection.
Checks MD privileging prior to start of case
Practices aseptic technique, universal precautions
Accountable for efficient time and resource management
Responsible for effective communication with patients, physicians, coworkers, and other customers.
Participates in orientation of new staff/students on the unit.
Completes other duties as assigned.

Ensures accurate billing and order for each procedure

Ensures timeliness from study order to completion.
Alerts Supervisor of any system malfunction immediately.
Notifies Engineering with any equipment malfunction according to policy.
Manages Kronos correctly.
Ability to respond within thirty minutes of call back.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
Minimum Education: High School Graduate or equivalent, college preferred.
Preferred: Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
Program, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered
Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Certified Electrophysiology
Specialist (CEPS). 1-year of acute hospital experience will be considered.
License/Certifications
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Care Life Support (BLS)
andAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Education and Experience
Minimum Education: High School Graduate or equivalent, college preferred.
Preferred: Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
Program, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered
Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Certified Electrophysiology
Specialist (CEPS). 1-year of acute hospital experience will be considered.
Knowledge and Abilities
Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Must be able to
fulfill the essential functions of the position.
