Our valued client, a boutique accounting and bookkeeping service, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing team based in Florida. This is an opportunity to join a thriving business while managing a portfolio of new clientele. The Senior Accountant must be committed to excellence and be comfortable working collaboratively and independently at all times. Salary/Hourly Rate: $75k - $90k Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will be reporting directly to the President and primarily assisting in general assurance, month-end close activities, and responding to client inquiries. This Senior Accountant will serve as lead support to a group of small businesses and non-profit organizations, maintaining all financials and reporting. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant: • Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. • Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals. • Maintain organized records of payables and manage timely payments. • Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies. • Assist with cash flow planning by tracking upcoming payments. • Prepare invoices for accounts, pledges, grants, vendors, and other receivables. • Accurately record donations, grants, and restricted funds in compliance with non-profit accounting standards. • Provide guidance on internal controls, financial process improvements, and compliance best practices. • Support outsourced CFO engagements with financial reporting, variance analysis, and strategic planning. • Assist with annual audits and tax return preparation for clients. • Assist with technology implementation, including accounting software setup, integration, and optimization. • Work directly with clients to answer financial questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide advisory support. Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant: • Experience with QuickBooks Online is required. • 2+ years of experience in general accounting • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines efficiently. Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant: • Experience with non-profit accounting is preferred. • Experience within public accounting is preferred. • Experience working with a client-facing or outsourced accounting setting. Education Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related area with work experience is required.
