Provide compassionate and dedicated care to individuals with mental health needs. Utilize strong clinical skills to assess, plan, and implement care for patients in state psychiatric facilities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects. Conduct physical and mental health assessments to identify any changes or concerns. Communicate with patients and their families to provide education and support. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care. Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance knowledge and skills in mental health nursing. Advocate for patients' rights and provide a safe and therapeutic environment. Serve as a resource and support for colleagues and other healthcare professionals. Promote and maintain a positive and professional work environment. Stay current on best practices and evidence-based treatments in mental health nursing. Demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
