Job Description
PV Generation have been installing Solar PV systems across Ireland since 2015. Due to continued expansion, success & market growth we are seeking a full time Solar Technical Surveyor to join our expanding team.
This role is ideal for a qualified electrician who wants to step away from full-time installation work and move into a technical, field-based surveying role within the solar and renewables industry.
Responsibilities:
· Carry out electrical surveys and inspections on agricultural premises, residential properties and commercial building
· Assess electrical installations for safety, compliance, and suitability for use
· Identify defects, risks, and non-compliances
· Complete detailed survey reports, including photographic evidence where required
· Liaise professionally with clients, site owners, and internal teams
· Ensure all work complies with current Safe Electric regulations
· Manage workload efficiently across multiple sites
Requirements:
· Fully qualified electrician (National Craft Certificate)
· Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience
· Strong knowledge of Safe Electric regulations
· Experience working across agricultural, residential, or commercial installations
· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Good written communication skills for report writing
· Full clean driving licence
· Safe Pass, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels and Working at Height certificates
· Competent with basic IT systems (email, reports, tablets/apps)
Desirable
· Previous experience in electrical surveying, inspection, or testing
· Safe Electric certification-QC Number
· Familiarity with agri-specific electrical environments
· Experience working independently
