Assistant Project Manager (Mission Critical)

Job Description

We’re looking for a sharp, driven Assistant Project Manager to join our team. You’ll help keep mission-critical projects on track, making sure everything runs smoothly, stays on budget, and meets top-notch quality standards in a fast-moving environment. What you’ll do: • Tackle challenges with strong problem-solving skills to keep projects moving forward • Handle project schedules, budgets, cost control, and subcontractor coordination • Build and update detailed project timelines, working closely with the team to hit key milestones • Spot risks early and create solutions to keep timelines and costs in check • Communicate clearly—both in writing and in person—to keep everyone in the loop with project updates • Work with vendors, contractors and suppliers to manage contracts and keep things running smoothly • Effectively use project management software tools (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid/Change Order) • Pitch in on other tasks as needed to help the project and the company succeed What you’ll need: • A bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar • At least 3 years of experience in commercial construction projects; work on hyperscale or mission critical projects preferred • Solid knowledge of construction processes, quality control and design coordination • A knack for working well with all kinds of teams and stakeholders • Software proficiency (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid) • Willingness to work full-time, on-site in Amarillo, TX What we offer: • Competitive salary (DOE) • Industry-leading benefits package, including: • Profit sharing plan • Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage • Health savings account with substantial company contributions • Paid holidays and PTO • Growth opportunities at a century-old electrical contractor known for excellence and innovation • Relocation assistance How to apply: Fill out the form or send your resume and a quick note about why you’re a great fit to apply@cve.com.
