Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial and commercial electrical systems, including low and high voltage applications, schematics, and NEC standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), blueprint reading, and construction site work, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on renovation projects, construction sites, and ongoing maintenance tasks in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters. • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately perform wiring and system repairs. • Maintain low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC standards. • Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes. • Perform routine inspections of electrical components to identify potential issues before failures occur. • Assist with renovation and construction projects involving electrical systems; collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry and general contractors. • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes; maintain a safe work environment on construction sites or plant facilities. • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installation or repair tasks efficiently. • Document maintenance activities and report any safety concerns or system failures to management promptly. Requirements • Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems maintenance. • Knowledge of NEC standards, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and construction site procedures. • Experience working with low voltage and high voltage systems safely and effectively. • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting. • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices proficiently. • Construction site experience including renovation projects is highly desirable. • Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics related to electrical installations. • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while adhering to safety protocols. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing electrical issues. • Relevant certifications or licenses in electrical work are preferred but not mandatory depending on project requirements. This position is integral to maintaining the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our electrical infrastructure across multiple facilities.
