Role Overview We are seeking a Product Development Software Engineer to join our growing Product Development team. This role will focus on building new features, enhancing core applications, and contributing to the next generation of our healthcare SaaS platform. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Operations Engineering, and Security/Compliance to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions that power millions of healthcare transactions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong coding skills, a growth mindset, and a passion for solving complex problems in a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and deploy new software features and enhancements for Etactics’ SaaS platform. • Collaborate with Product Managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Partner with Operations Engineering and SecOps to ensure security, scalability, and reliability. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code across the full stack (front-end and back-end). • Participate in code reviews, peer testing, and continuous integration workflows. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production systems with a focus on root-cause analysis. • Contribute to product roadmaps and provide input on architectural and technical decisions. • Ensure software solutions align with compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST). Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of professional software development experience. • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Java, C#, Python, or similar enterprise languages. • Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue). • Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server). • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and modern software architecture. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in healthcare technology, financial services, or other highly regulated industries. • Knowledge of healthcare data standards (EDI, HL7, FHIR). • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred). • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. • Previous experience with SOC 2 or HITRUST audited environments.
