Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, installation, and repair. This role requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in various environments, including residential and commercial settings. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing systems are functioning efficiently and safely. Duties • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including sewerlines/waterlines, fixture repairs and replacements, and drain cleaning, as needed. • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. • Collaborate with coworkers to ensure proper plumbing installations, repairs and replacements. • Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various tasks. • Adhere to permit and inspection requirements. • Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations. • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients on job sites. • Provide excellent communication to Front Office to ensure job runs smoothly. Skills • Proficient in welding techniques for pipe joining and repairs. • Experience in remodeling projects related to plumbing installations. • Knowledge of carpentry skills as they relate to plumbing tasks. • Familiarity with worksite protocols and safety measures. • Ability to operate power tools competently within the scope of plumbing work. • Strong mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues accurately. • Capability to read and understand schematics related to plumbing systems. • Experience in field service work, providing on-site solutions for clients. Requirements • Journeyman/Master Plumber license is preferred. If the candidate is not currently a licensed journeyman or master plumber, the goal would be for this to be completed shortly after entering the position or after obtaining enough experience. • CDL is preferred but not required. • Rotating on-call work schedule is required (approximately 1 week per month). • Physical demands include, but are not limited to, being able to carry 75 lbs., handling large sewer cleaning machines (each van has a winch for ease of unloading and loading), and crawling under houses. • Background check and drugscreen are required for employment. Job safety awareness at all times while on duty is imperative to assure the safety of customers, co-workers and self. Job preparation tasks include daily truck inspection, directing the Helper, assuring all tools, equipment and material are loaded on the truck following the completion of the job, checking the job site prior to leaving thus assuring tools, equipment and unused material are returned to the shop. The clear expectation is that the employee reliably shows up for work by 6:45 am each day.
