Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills in financial management and accounting processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions. • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records. • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and aligned with company policies. • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including generating financial reports. • Conduct regular audits of accounting records to ensure compliance with regulations. • Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities as needed. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency. • Respond to inquiries regarding financial transactions and provide detailed explanations when required. • Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for all accounting activities.• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management. • Proficiency in posting journal entries and performing bank reconciliations. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools. • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.Min Qualification
