Craftsmen Contractors is hiring Licensed Commercial Plumbers and Licensed Plumber Apprentices/Helpers for the New Orleans, La. area. This is for several commercial projects throughout the city, working day shifts, Monday through Friday. Mostly new construction work. Weekly pay by direct deposit. No per diem is offered. Licensed Plumbers: $28/hour and possibly more, depending on experience Licensed Plumber Apprentices & Helpers: $18 - $21/hour depending on experience. Job Duties: • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures. • Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals. • Follow building plans and blueprints. • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies. • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems. Job Requirements: • Must be licensed at this time. • Will need to have basic hand tools, all PPE, and reliable transportation to get to job sites. • Plumbers should have at least 2 years of Plumbing experience, and Apprentices & Helpers should have at least 1 year of plumbing experience. • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade. • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices • Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drafts.
