I'm on week 7 of C25k and ran without stopping for 25 minutes! Definitely pushed myself to get a faster second mile, I'm looking forward to this week as they're all continuous runs. There's a 5k my city is doing towards the end of September I might aim to do.
I’ve had a sick kid at home this week while my husband works away so no running for me. My race is next week so I’m a little antsy about not getting my runs in this week, but hopefully it’ll be ok. Not expecting a PB for the race because it starts at 6am so I know that’ll slow me down!
I’ve carried on with Caroline Girvans Epic I series though, and seeing big improvements! I’ve upped my weights twice now, at 5 weeks in!
Met up with my new lifting coach. Feeling positive about the chemistry and his philosophies. I start the first week of our plan tomorrow. It's a pretty low tonnage week which is a responsible way to start while we sus out my workload and stress index response. I took this weekend a bit easy to make sure we have a good baseline reading.
Signed up for my state championships in February, so we have about 5.5 months to build. My goal is to total about 585/1290ish, that's conservative because we're such a long way out, I think 1300 is in the cards. Last year that would've been a comfortable second place. Definitely excited to put an official 145/319 in on bench.
